Just got a Manners T6A w/ a mini chassis (in the midnight mold in finish) for my Remington 700 AAC-SD. The bolt will not fully close because the stock is designed for a strait bolt handle and the bolt (which is stock) is slightly swept back. Manners is willing to inlet the stock for the bolt but I was thinking that this may be a good time to upgrade the bolt. On the other hand, after getting the stock I don’t have $500 laying around for a bolt.

I have some questions concerning a bolt upgrade. Are there accuracy improvements resulting from a trued up bolt? Is fitting up a bolt something that most gunsmiths can do or should I send the barreled action in to gunsmith that has a good reputation for this kind of work? Does anyone have any recommendations on someone in western PA that can do this?,
Of course, the other option is to grind down the stock myself so that the bolt can fully close. It does not look like it would require much, and the stock has the molded in colors. I would call Manners to get details, but this looks like it would be fairly easy. The hardest part about doing this would be grinding down a stock that I just spent a grand on.
So, what are the benefits to upgrading the bolt? I know that I already have a gun that will outshoot me. Is the bolt upgrade a nice-to-have or a got-to have?
