Just got my new rifle

Well after much debate between a Howa 1500 and a Remington SPS Tac..... I just picked me up the SPS TAC Already have a scope on the way, hope to have it ready to go next weekend !!!

I got the Vortex Viper 6.5-20x and I'll probably use that up until the PST become available. Yes it is a Hogue stock. So far it feels pretty good so we'll see how that goes.

Nice rifle. Curious, what tipped the scale toward Remington, if you don't mind me asking?

Mainly the availabilty of aftermarket parts and the flexibility of the remington 700 along with the heavy barrel. Also, i liked the factory trigger over the howa's, so much in fact that i'll probably not replace it.

I just picked one of these up and it's a very nice gun for the price. Accuracy is very good, with 168 federal smk it'll do 1/2moa. I've only shot it to 400 yards so far, but it's doing great at that distance as well. I'm hoping it'll do well out to 800yds!
