Been a member here for a long time, we just moved to Woodland Park and are looking to get into the local shooting scene. Interested in the Cheyenne mountain monthly prs match. I have never competed in prs, but have done quite a bit of idpa, and 3 gun a few years ago.

Is there anyone local that wouldn't mind helping guide me through starting in PRS? And always looking for new shooting buddies.

Baron, I have shot the monthly PRS match at Cheyenne Mountain, although I do not live down there. It is a great match to learn at and everyone is very helpful. I think they have bags for new shooters to try out now too.

I am not sure if you do the whole FB thing but they are also pretty responsive through the Pikes Peak Precision Rifle page.

I think a solid piece of advice I have received is to show up to a match with whatever equipment you have and just have fun. It is worth it to show up even if you spectate, ask questions and follow a squad around or help be a spotter to get an idea of what works and what everyone is using.
