fire saw up and halfway threw a tank, right in the dirt boys, not a little either
no big deal, getting older, patience is better, sharpen chain, cool...

fire up saw, and like a sideshow at the carnivel, bar in the dirt...

and it happened once more...

This is where multiple chains comes into play. Always have extras on hand, (and when I worked in the sawmill, I had a few dozen.) Trick is though, never let the nose of the bar touch the ground. Maybe some lessons are in order?

I'm such a klutz some mornings in the woods that spare sharpened chains are a requirement.

Ya know what, your off to a great start just realizing that stuffing your chain bar in the dirt ruins your cutters. I can't f'n believe the amount of guys that have no conceptual idea or even posses the thought process that running a saw-chain in the dirt dulls it faster than bucking firewood. Next you'll get cocky and be on a roll and find a nice run of barbwire in the middle of a tree, right after you touched up your cutters and filed a thousandth off the rakers.......

you know what they say about them 2strokes; "If you ain't mixing gas you aint kicking ass". Hope your revving out an XPW, STihl or Dolmar. . . .
