Just ordered a Criterion

Just got off the phone with Jim and ordered my Criterion barrell. Its a small shank 308 at 24" and threaded in Varmint contour. Anybody using one of these with results you can show? I looked through the thread over at SavageShooters and it was great.

Also, any recommendations on what brake to put on it? Thanks

I had a Criterion in 7mmRM that I ordered through Jim. It shoots well but I don't have any targets to show b/c I sold it the day I got it to a friend that shoots with us sometimes.

Did ya see the thread on SavageShooters where member 'DougMH' won a match at Quantico with his 28" .308 bull Criterion?

Mine is a 260 and it shoots everything I feed it sub-MOA, and I've found one load that is consistent 5-shots 0.5" @ 100yd and 0.6" @ 100yd...which to be truthful is probably as good as I'm able to do.

Mine is like BoilerUp said, shoots better than I can. You won't be disapointed.
.260 26" and shes a laser.
First ten shots ever fired 100 yds. clean between shots-

I rebarreled my Savage 10 with a Criterion 260ai. Shoots in the .3s!

My god, what do they soak you for a savage prefit??

Perhaps 20" fluted 260, or is a guy stuck with generic barrels?
Maybe I'll rebarrel my 308 instead of having gap cut it and brake it.

If Jim doesn't have what you want in stock, he'll order it directly from Criterion.

I called him today and did not here anything back! But anyway, my 28inch 260AI criterion is an absolute laser. Granted I have high end supporting components (PDC stock, T&T), but the barrel is nice and cleans very well too. I have shot in the .1s for 5 shots, and average in the .3s. I shoot Fclass matches at 600 yards with it and it will clean a string of 20 if the wind isn't gusting.

Jim is not that great at returning emails, and may not answer when you call...but he WILL call you back (called me after 8pm one Friday night actually).
