Just ordered my first precision rifle. I did some research and some reading on here and decided to go with the Savage. It gave me everything I felt I needed to get started. Now to get a good mount and rings...any recommendations? Should I get a 1 piece picatinny or a 2 pc?

I like 1pc bases. Not sure who is making bases for the Savages. Can't go wrong with Badger or NF if they have them for the Savage. Good luck.

Also found these guys. They specialize in Savage rifles. They have the bases and rings you are looking for and they offer gunsmith services as well. I see they make a 9rnd detach box magazine too.

WARNE makes 0, 10, 20 & 30 moa rails for the Savage and their Maxima Steel Bases and Tactical rings are nice, I've been using WARNE for a long time here are pics;

It's a small world... I just order a 10FLCP-K, yes I'm left handed. I went with EGW's extended F-Class/Tactical rail. With a little luck it will be in my hot hands next weeek. I'm stoked after reading how accurate MSG's has been.

My Dad just received his Savage 10 FCP HS. He put a Badger Ordnance 20 moa rail on it, and a Vari-X III 3.5-10x40 tactical. We're getting itchy to put some rounds through it. It's a nice solid stick. I really like the HS Precision stock.

The EGW HD 20MOA base and Burris Extreme low rings are what I have on two of my Savages. Seem to be good quality, nice looking pieces. I am happy with them, and the rifles both shoot sub-moa.

Good to hear you like your EGW mounts. The company impresses me, because they are making a LH version of the extended mount for me and it will only cost 10 bucks more. That's customer service in my book. Forgot to mention that mine is also 20MOA. I'm going start off with a Bushnell 3200 Elite 10x40 mil-dot I have laying around.

I really like my Seekins 20MOA base and rings on my Savage. I chose these over badger and have been very happy.

I found a EGW 25 MOA on ebay, but it was from EGW direct... I don't see it listed usually, but it's an extra 5 degrees that I get, with the Burris Extreme rings.
Savage 10FP with SS 10x42 scope is what it's on. It's the budget way to go, but it shoots fine for me and my needs.
