Rifle Scopes Just received my SS 10x 42......

Wanted to know why it came with a TASCO warranty card and instruction manual from 1995. Got it from SWFA.

I did not think TASCO made the scope anymore....any Ideas?

From what I've read here, this is just info that was originally included with the Tasco version, and SWFA, I assume, was granted use of it when they bought out the SS line from Tasco. I just have to guess that they've never bothered to reprint it as the basic instructions are still the same. I just recently ordered and received a SS 20x42 that also came this way. I don't remember specifically where I read it on this forum, but I'm not worried much about it as SWFA is well known on here for great customer service (as well as other boards I frequent), and I don't expect any problems with it anyway. I know that this doesn't exactly answer your question, but just thought I'd chime in with what I'd read, and reassure you to not be too concerned with it.

The warranty card is a hold over from the old days. When SWFA bought the rights to the scope, they used the old cards to keep costs down. Fear not!It is a great scope,from a company that really stands behind their products!

I wouldn't worry too hard, these scopes are awesome, and if something goes wrong, which I highly doubt it will, SWFA will take care of you.

I purchased my SS 10x42 before the new HD models came out.. It was my first scope and is an excellent scope. Its hard to find a scope better than the SS at the same price range. Mine came with the Tasco paperwork also.. I figured SWFA would change it by now with there new HD models.

They will take good care of you if something happens. The first SS I purchased and recieved had a scratch on the glass. I called SWFA and let them know and they had a new one in my hands the next day that was perfect with a call tag to ship the first scope back to them. That is customer service. I don't think you can find a better scope for the price.
