Just stick with 2.800 OAL for 168gr Nosler bullets?

Using a Hornady OAL comparator, I'm getting a loaded OAL of about ~2.700 in my GAP 308 rifle. Doesn't that seem too short?
Regular match 168gr ammo like Federal FGMM that are loaded out to 2.800 seem to chamber and shoot fine. Something I'm missing here?

2.7 does seem short. I've loaded 168gr CC out to 2.905" for 2 different rifles with great results in modified AI mags. But yeah, you need to figure out your specific chamber on your rifle. I still doubt it would be a tenth shorter than industry spec.
