Not exactly what you are after but the closest thing I have seen:

I appreciate the offer, but I am not selling it. I just wanted to build a second upper for it.
If you're not set on a KAC upper, I've seen a few places that say a Mega upper will work with KAC/LMT/Larue pattern guns, so that might be a possibility. Can anyone with a Mega set and any of those other rifles comment?
I have a mega upper and lower set that I am building in to a second rifle. They are not the same the cut angle is bit different. The AR-10a receivers might fit and run with a bit of work.
Thank you, good to know. There was a thread on ARFcom a while back where at least one guy with both said that they were a good fit....and you can't put anything on the internet that isn't true, right?
Well I should say its some what true.. Its sorta like the AR-10 upper on the DPMS lower , but not as bad. You would have to drill out the holes on the MAten upper and maybe machine the bottom of the receiver a bit. The AR-10 is a perfect fit in terms of rear cut. The LMT / KAC have a bigger diameter pin of .284 vs 271 for the DPMS and .278 for the Armalite. I can tell you that my MATEN upper would prob function, but that gap at the buffer tube would drive me nuts. I know that SR-25 upper fits sorta ok on the mega lower, but its a bit loose since the pin holes are bigger and the pivot points are a bit narrower.

I had been toying with the idea of getting a MATEN upper for my Larue lower because I really want to build something in a different caliber, maybe 260 of 6.5CM, without needing to buy an entire rifle. Thanks for the pictures, that really helps clear it up for me. Nice rifles, btw, sounds like you have quite a stable!
Thanks, the rifles in the pictures are not mine :/(otherwise I wouldn't be looking for the SR-25 upper). I am working at building up my stable. Since the LaRue is cut the same as Knights and LMT. I would say it would be easier to get the AR-10A upper .
I have been looking for a lmt upper for my sr25 for a long time, no luck yet. I would be very happy with a ecc upper too but I don't foresee many of those floating around for sale either. I am in CT. So another upper is the only way for me to have the option of different barrels and/or calibers which is why the LMT is so appealing now even more, as you can't buy any lowers anymore here. I have been looking for a definitive answer on what uppers will work on a sr25 that you can readily get to build an upper with aside from larue and lmt as they aren't available, hoping this thread will offer some insight. Anyone that may have or know of a LMT upper let me know. Thanks
Can you please tell us what state you are in. There is a huge difference between different AWB states.
The great socialist repubik of Kalifornia. We have several AWB bans, the first one names guns by model and then we have one that doesn't allow certain features. There is a new ban pending in the assembly that would ban all semi autos that could take a mag..
