Thought this may be of interest. my apologies if this has been previously spoken of.

an email i got from rep at Kahles;

"I have attached details about the new scope being released in 2011. However, this release is in Europe and we currently do not have any available yet in the USA. If interested in purchasing this new model, please let me know - It can probably be special ordered and I would be happy to verify this.

Let me know if you need any additional assistance."

950 grams is 33.4 ounces. That's on par with a typical tactical-style scope.
