I have already used the google search and are fairly familiar with them. I still have a couple questions that I haven't seen addressed. The answers to these questions will determine which model I'll get.

I plan to mount it on a stock Rem. 5R MilSpec to gain about 0.5" of height. I'd like to still keep my stock pack as well.

1. Can I run a cleaning rod through the breech without removing/lowering the rest?

2. How steady/firm is the rest once tightened? Do the A & C models with the straight slots slip at all?

3. Does the kydex stand up to the compression from the bolts?

Re: Karsten Cheek Rest concerns

To answer #1, stick a bore guide/rod in the bore and measure the clearance from comb to rod….simple. Chances are, you may have to lower it to clean the rifle. I did.

#2 and #3: rock solid piece of gear. No worries on damaging the kydex.
