Kestrel 5700 or 5700 Elite?

In your humble opinion, is an Elite required if you are linking to an external BC via Bluetooth?

No as long as that external BC continues to be supported. At least with onboard AB you have a backup if the Bluetooth should ever fail or the device you are linking to is lost or batteries die. But no the elite is not mandatory and with a firmware upgrade at a future date you can change your 5700 to the elite.

Sometimes keeping things simple is easiest, the elite accomplishes this. It's like the 4 door PU that can haul the family if needed.
