Anyone used the Kestrel 5700 with the Sig Kilo 2200 or similar setup? Would it be better to just get the Sig Kilo 2400 ABS? Looking into a setup like this but curious to what others experiences were.
I have the 2400 abs and overall it's good. I doesn't stack up to the terrapin in terms of ranging. I have good success when ranging and getting the elevation corrections. Depending on light conditions it can be hit or miss past 1000 yards. The ABS software is pretty damn accurate so I would choose the 2400 between the two.
The terrapin is strictly a rangefinder though right? I've heard of people having really good results from the nikon 4k rangefinder as well, but the integration with ABS with the 2400 is the interesting part for me.
You can pair the terrapin x to the kestrel 5700 elite. It does drain the battery in the x pretty fast however. If you don't need to range extreme ranges in various conditions the 2400 abs is great.
