Found a good cardo and strength exercise to combine with trips to the range. Raises the heart rate and over the course of the day, gives you value added to your range training. Makes positional shooting tougher. Try it a few times and then shoot your normal routine and you'll think the rifle is welded to you body with no movement.
Exercise.
10 full jumping jacks, proceed to 10 pushups, then 10 mountain climbers, 10 more pushups, jump up, 10 half jumping jacks.
Go shoot 20 shots off hand, or 2 10 shot NRA HP style rapid fire strings standing to sitting, kneeling or prone with magazine change 5/5 or 2/8.
Or, after exercise, move into position and shoot modified Battle rattle drill by loading, doping and making atleast 30 plus hits at 600 yards on an IPSC sized steel plate. Time 45 seconds.
When complete, repeat exercise. To make it challenging, you can do clapping push ups or elevate your feet and crank out the pushups.
This is tougher than it sounds. You can run up to the target when it needs servicing.
More difficult exercises to follow.
