Kim Potter Sentencing

It wasn't "unfortunate". She should never have been on the streets with a weapon and a badge. She's an emotional person that should not have made it as far as she did in the department. Why she did is anyone's guess.
I put the blame on those that passed her along. Somebody along the way knew she wasn't cut out for the job and they moved her to a position to keep her instead of canning her.
This by all accounts was an unfortunate accident and the Officer receives punishment for the loss of a life even though it was accident. The elites like Baldwin go free when they commit the same type of accident with a loss of life.

I read early on she has had a desk job for a long time with the department. COVID, defund the police and officers resigning created a shortage in the field. She was placed on active patrol from a desk. Don't know if this was a contributing factor?

This is what she accidentally removed from the streets:

Wright's aggravated robbery charge stemmed from a 2019 incident in which Wright and an acquaintance attended a party at an apartment and were told to leave around 2:30 a.m. by two women who rented the apartment, according to court documents. But the two men said they did not have a ride, prompting the women to allow them to stay the night.

The next morning, one of the women left the apartment to get $820 in cash to pay the other for her share of the rent before leaving for work. The other woman stayed behind while Wright and his acquaintance waited for their ride. Then, the woman alleged that Wright blocked the door and pulled out a handgun "with silver trim out from either his right waistband or his right coat pocket” and demanded that the woman hand over the $820 while pointing the gun at her.

When the woman asked Wright if he was “serious,” Wright responded by saying, "Give me the f---ing money. I know you have it. ... I’m not playing around.”

Wright then choked the woman while attempting to pull the money out of her bra, but she was able to free herself and "started to kneel down and scream” for the men to get out of her apartment, telling them the police were close by. But Wright threatened to shoot her if she didn’t turn over the money, saying, "Give me the money, and we will leave. Give me the money, and we will go."

Wright then attempted to choke the woman a second time, but the two men eventually left the apartment without the money, driving away in a white Cadillac. Wright was later arrested and released on $100,000 bail under the condition that he would not contact the victim or witnesses, could not use drugs or alcohol, and was not allowed to possess a firearm. That bail was revoked in July because Wright was found in possession of a firearm and had not kept in contact with his probation officer."

At least Wright's robbery victim wasn't pregnant and he didn't stick his gun in her pregnant belly like the late St. Floyd did.

I'd say send her back for more training.

Kim Potter was sentenced to more time in jail than Dante Wright was for shooting Caleb Livingston in the head at a Minneapolis gas station on May 14, 2019.

It was the willful failure of the Democrat led Hennepin County DA's office that he literally got away with attempted murder up until Brooklyn Center police tried to arrest him and he attempted to flee in a car.

So why wasn’t he(Wright)criminally charged with Livingston death?

Just curious If any one knows
The case wasn't reviewed in part due to the COVID-19 pandemic, in part because the county, who is responsible for prosecution in MN, sat on issuing charges in the case. Like I said, it was a failure and abortion of justice all around.

Exactly. I've posted here about him many times. He is human scum and is behind all of MN's big problems.

To be clear, he is not responsible for this woman killing this ass hat because she’s poorly trained and probably should not have been out there BUT he very likely had a hand in policy that had this dead guy in the street if he did what is alleged. Either way, Fuck Keith.

so, lots of relatives in the biz so to speak, she was JUSTIFIED in using lethal force, his actions warranted it according to the UOF model they have in place, so she could have drawn her weapon and ended it with no repercussions, how she was found guilty I truly don't understand. LTL is suppose to be used when lethal is justified but we are trying to be nice and give the guy(alleged) a second chance, which from his actions he wasn't willing to accept. This just demotivates so many people to join and protect the herd because they themselves arent' being backed. Long term crime will get even higher, politicians will step in with stricter measures to save the day after letting it go berzerk to start with by not backing LE.
rant over.
