A few questions about the kindo flavor of sbr.

It looks like its a mid-length system on a 12.5 " barrel? If so how does this affect the rifle in terms of cycling and recoil chaterstics?

Does 12" of barrel do anything that 11" dosent?

Anyone have any time on one? Anything else I should know or think about before going this route?

Re: Kindo sbr questions

Sorry for the late response. I have a Kino upper and can try to answer any of your questions.

Yes, it is a carbine gas system with an FSB installed at the mid-length position. This works well for me as I have pretty long arms and like to grip the handguard far out towards the muzzle. I picked the 12.5" barrel length because my state is not suppressor friendly so the overall difference in barrel length doesn't feel excessively long to me and I get a little additional muzzle velocity at the same time (over the 11.5").

Having said that, I am considering removing the FSB and putting a longer handguard on. I am not sure that having the FSB in my field of view while shooting works for me. I'll probably try a 11" Troy TRX or a 10" Centurion Arms.
