I’m still fascinated by one persons efforts and how they shaped the world.

Queen Victoria sent her kids to be kings and queens all over Europe.

Every monarchy in history, no matter their initial intentions upon setting up and claiming the throne, have been the perpetrators of some of the most bizarre and fucked up shit over the years of their legitimacy... That is precisely the reason why, when the Qing Dynasty desperately pleaded with the Guangdong Gentlemens' Society in 1911 that they will establish a real constitution for China and allow public elections from the local to the magistrate level, Sun Yatsen, the leader of the Gentlemens' Society, responded "Nah, fuck your monarchy, fuck your imperial existence. We give you 10 months to peacefully abdicate and completely hand over power to the New Army Commission whose offices are located in Wuhan, Tokyo, Honolulu, and San Francisco, so your representatives and embassadors can meet with ours practically anywhere in the world and sign the official documents........... Or we start shooting and killing your asses".... The Qing Dynasty chose the alternative, and it was a poor choice for them...
