I have had this hardware for a few weeks. We had a snow day today so it seemed like a perfect time to do the installation. The hardware doesn’t come with any templates or instructions but it is pretty straight forward. All you really need are some drill bits, a chisel and something to cut the stock. I cut mine with a bandsaw and did all the drilling on a drill press which made the installation pretty simple. I took a ton of pictures showing the whole process but don’t want to load the site down with a bunch of photos. If anyone has any questions about the installation feel free to ask. I will add that the hardware is very nice and well made. Also the stock is a Grayboe Renagade.

That turned out great! Is that paint job offered from Grayboe or did you do that too? Every time I check his website, he’s sold out of the loggerhead hardware.

I’m trying to muster the courage to do it myself too but damn am I nervous about screwing up a new stock.

Contact him directly. When I got a couple sets a few years ago, website said out but he had some and was able to ship quick.

You can download templates from Terry Cross' website.

He has drawing of the parts but not really templates like most people would think of them. I just used a small tri square to lay everything out. It is really not that complicated. The toughest part is locating the through hole the locking bolt goes in. That is pretty easy to screw up.

That is a factory grayboe paint job. For ordering the hardware I just went on the site, ordered and waited. It took about 6 weeks to come in. I also wouldn’t worry to much about messing up your stock. The great thing about the Grayboe stocks is they are just a urethane resin I believe. If you mess an area up just fill it with some 5 minute epoxy and repaint. I filled in all the small gaps after I finished with epoxy and the finished product looked like it was made that way.
