Found this in my father's toolbox when he passed. 12" when open. Wanted to restore it, but set it aside for a while, my dad and I never had a good relationship, he was an abusive asshole. Finally started the restoration today. Here's a before and after so far.

The scales are pretty rough...cracking, loose, so going to replace them. Friend of mine makes these, so have him doing a set for me.

When done, I plan to engrave the blade to say 'BE BETTER' as a reminder to never be like him.

Very nice work- is that a Buck110? Sure looks like it but I can’t see the markings.
Those blue scales will make it pop. And I like the idea of the engraved reminder!

I found an old Buck110 early on in my metal detecting- wasn’t out side for very long - but tip was broken, scales weathered and lock was wobbly. Well beyond me skills at the time - sent it to Buck and they refurbished it to like new and sent it back with a new sheath. Please update with finished product!

When I saw your knife I thought I knew exactly what it was until I saw the length. I mail ordered a knife exactly like that in the 90s except it was half that long.
