There is no accounting for taste. Some people get criticism for buying extremely valuable knives or swords that they never intend to use. Other people only buy knives they will actually use. Both people support the knife makers, and are thereby appreciated.

There's supporting knife makers, then there is supporting companies that proclaim "USA" and "American" all over their advertizements, yet import everything from China. MTECH USA, made in China.
