Well, being a new member I'm not entirely sure that this is appropriate to put here, but we will see. I have done many articles on hunting, guns, loading etc for many years. I have looked for some really good information on the KRG Stoic reviews, but have found very few. G&A Nov. 18 issue is the only one I have found so far. I was wondering if there is enough interest for me to do such a review? We have a KRG STOIC in 6.5 Creedmore. I plan to put an ATHLON Cronus BTR scope with SPUHR ST-4701 mount. I'm not as young as I used to be, but the older I get, the tougher I was! At any rate I can still shoot pretty good so the results from my testing should give a real world view of this combination. Please let me know if there is enough interest in this project for me to go through the trouble and expense.

The entire reason I started using Internet forums, way back in the late 90’s, was exactly for that sort of thing.

Range reports and tests are always good to see, I know I enjoy reading them and many have influenced my decisions over the years.

I say go for it, I’ll definitely read it with interest.

It just so happens that I have the exact configuration you described; SOTIC in 6.5 Creedmoor with an Athlon Cronus BTR mounted in a Spuhr ST-4701.

I would love to see a professional review and compare how it matches up to my own experience and opinion.

Very interesting. I have #35 what is yours? What kind of groups are you getting? I will be awhile getting this done. I'm having a bit of trouble finding the mount, at least less than $410!

Mine is #60 with a Brux barrel. Best 5 shot groups are in the .2s with average groups in the high .3s. I've had many 3 shot and a couple 4 shot groups in the .1s, but haven't managed to get all 5 that tight yet (first pic shot just yesterday). It really likes Hornady 140gr ELD-Ms, either in Hornady factory ammo or hand loads.

I doubt you'll find a new Spuhr mount for less than full retail. They don't seem to discount. You might get lucky and find a used one if you look around.

Which one are you looking for? I have an SP4001 for sale.

Not to detail the thread. I’m curious if KRG will ever sell the action separate if it’s that good.
