Gunsmithing Krieger Gunsmithing

Looking at a R700 that was barreled by Krieger, on the receipt for the work completed there was a 100$ charge for level 1 truing, I emailed Krieger this afternoon and inquired. Anyone that knows what this entails let me know.

For that price, it was likely truing the face and lapping in the bolt.
In all honesty, quite sufficient for a very accurate rifle.

I agree with fdkay, trued up the receiver face and lugs and didnt chase the threads so you can still use remington threaded/Remage barrels.

You both were correct, Krieger called back and with the level one they simply true the receiver and bolt face. Thanks for the reply's.

I have nothing but positive things to say about the work and customer service offered by Krieger. I had a great experience with them during my first precision build several years ago and they were patient and helpful with my many questions.
