Lapua brass ammo boxes.

Hi all,
Just a heads up for anyone who is planning on using the blue Lapua plastic boxes that come with their brass to ship ammo they have loaded; I would recommend against it.
I recently tried using five of the boxes loaded with 250 hand-loads and sent them via UPS to a training class. The shell holder that you remove from the top and insert into the body of the box came loose in all five boxes during shipment and all my rounds ended up in a pile in the bottom of each box. I did also use the styrofoam inserts on top that comes with each box. Not a big deal but for next time I won't be using the Lapua boxes to ship in. The cardboard box I packed them in looked lightly handled so I don't think the package ws mishandled at all.
These boxes are great for everyday use but they didn't work for me for shipping purposes.
Thought I would share for anyone else who may be planning on shipping in the Lapua boxes.

No plastic ammo boxes handy, which are meant for securing loaded rounds?

I've shipped lots of ammo and I'm always using dedicated, plastic ammo boxes, FWIW.

Did you tape them shut? I always tape the box themselves then wrap in bubble wrap and tape. Take it as a lesson learned.

Ive found the Dillon box's to be very sturdy, but I have never shipped anything in them.
