Gents,

I'm considering a 6.5 CM build after looking at Big Jake's creations. I've looked here for the pros and cons of the DPMS vs. Armalite patterns and come up short. I'd go off the shelf, but I'm picky.

I currently shoot an 18" OBR, but I don't like the hand guard, the integral 20 moa pic rail, or the brake.

Looking at 22" bbl, leaning toward a non-adjustable stock, but am willing to be convinced I need the mag pul PRS, reliable, soft shooting, DMR III scope for steel and varmints out to 1000 y. IF this has already been beat to death, forgive me and direct me to the right place, please.

God bless America

If you're looking for off the shelf pick up a Seekins SP10 or a JP depending on your budget. I'll post a couple examples below but if you do decide to Keep the OBR it can easily be made to perform quite well...

Let me know what you're looking for, unfortunately the OBR only has a 13" Handguard so if you're wanting a 6.5CM you'll have to go 18" with Rifle Length Gas. Here is one of mine.. and the results speak for themselves.

I have a 6.5 / 1-8 Twist Bartlein Blank on that hand, if you need anything let me know.

I ended of going with 40.4grs of H4350, 5rd groups coming in between .161" - .360" are the norm.

@bigjake83,

When I ws three or four I saw my Dad cleaning his model 70- 300WM. That rifle was a thing of beauty and yours are, too. Targets even more so.

I'll PM you this weekend with questions. Thank you for your reply.

God bless America
