You can get a Zeiss Victory 8x26 T* PRF Rangefinder from Eagle Optics for $550. It's a demo but is just as new. I got one and it is really nice glass and ranges very quickly.

I have the Swarofsky, but a big +1 on the Zeiss. I've used one a couple of times and it was VERY nice.

I would go with the Zeiss Victory 8x26. I just sold a pair to fund the purchase of the Victory 10x45 RF. I owned the 8x26 for a few years and they worked great. Call Euro Optics, they will hook you up.
