I need advice on choosing a laser sight for a AR15 varmint rifle, green or red. I need this for both day and night shooting. Thanks in advance for any help.

I just got a DBAL-D2, to say that I am impressed is a major understatement. Its real purpose is the IR combined with night vision so it may be a huge overkill for you if you don't have NV. For just a laser I would go with a green but don't count on being able to see it in the day time past about 25 yards. Viridian makes a decent green laser without breaking the bank.

The viridian works good, but does not have metal mounting hardware (my only complaint). It seems to hold zero and is like a light saber at dusk or later. Great on pigs in the woods.
