    Hey Miles,

    congrats on the 7saum.

I'll be up your way the 1st or 2nd week of October. Look forward to shooting with you again and checking out your new saum. Hopefully you can round up Ronnie, Bob and Chad again, our friendly head-hunter comp was fun. See ya next month.

This is just a preference thing, but when I put surgeon knobs on typical 700 length bolt handles, I like to shorten the shank on the surgeon style knob by about 1/2" and then deepen the threads so the knob is a more appropriate length.
I find that those LONG knobs slow down cycling and sometimes even cause binding of the action while running the bolt.

This probably won't matter on this gun as it's a single shot.

I told Chad to cut the bottom rung off the thing before he inserted the case head, must have forgot.
This is the nicest gun I own right now. Have not shot it, but am not worried about it shooting, all of Chad's other guns he did for me are hammers.
This is the smoothest action I own, bolt knob doesn't hurt it. I can miss just as fast as a person with a repeater.

    Thanks Chad,
Everyone over here loves this thing, hope to run it soon.
    Miles
