My neck of the woods right there. That kind of thing seems to happen quite often around here. A few years ago two guys were going to steal a truckload of copper pipe from what they thought was an abandoned factory. Only thing is, NYPD Counter-Terrorism and Hostage Rescue were holding exercises in there. The two buffoons were promptly arrested and it was later found out that they were also responsible for a whole string of house break-in's a while back...
