Looking to build a 375 chyeytak. I am new at this so bear with me. Can anyone explain the difference or advantages?

The 8500 is the smaller/lighter action. It will work great as a single shot platform for the CheyTac cases. The 8000 is beefier, and will allow for a repeater cut in the action. IMHO, the way to go is the 8000, I think the heavier action will handle a heavier barrel a little better...
