I got my hands on a 50 cal can full of 308 LC match brass. 80's-90's variants. the previous owner trimmed them all to the same length, re-sized deprimed, reamed primer pocket, and sorted by weight.
is this brass worthy of using in a DTA SRS 22" 308?

edited to add:
will M118/M72 projectiles net me 1/2 moa accuracy? assuming the shooter does his part.

Re: LC match brass

My LC72 will shoot 1/2moa without any kind of sorting. Only brass prep I did was swage primer pockets. No reaming, no flash hole deburring etc etc...

I'm sure it'll work great. If not, send it to me. I'll even cover shipping.

Re: LC match brass

well this really made my night.
now i dont need to buy brass.

i need to find the type of projo i have, as i got those along with the brass when i bought the lot.
it comes in a cardboard box with white plastic wrapping 4 of the 6 sides of the box. box is about 3-4"X3-4"
they are hiding in a ammo can somewhere. just need to find them
they were M something or another M27?

edit: looks like they are M118

Re: LC match brass

I got my hands on about 500 rounds of white box 1964-66 LC Match. The brass is good and shoots great out of my bolt guns but I save it for my brass gobbling 18" M1A. Even out of the semi-auto rifle, reloads LC Match post very consistent 0.75-1" groups.

As usual, only safety advice is to confirm what it was shot out of and how many times it's been fired -- I'm getting 5-6 firings before the brass is shot.

Also, the M72 and M118 projo is the same 173gr ball. M72 designated the LC 30-06 Match round, while M118 designates the LC 7.62 Match round.
