Re: lead buildup in suppressor
most your lead build-up is on the blast baffle plate, so scrape it and then brush the suppressor bore too. for removing the lead dust buildup in the chambers of baffling do this.
Mix a 50-50 solution of white vinegar & hydrogen peroxide in a jar the same length as your suppressor so it fits all the way in for a soak. put a lid on the jar and let it soak a good 6-hours. walk by it and shake it a little bit every hour or so. Dump & drain . Then do it one more time . then rinse it out with water and blow it out with a compressor if you got one.
This solution . It will dissolve the Lead into a lead-acetate. I do this all the time.
also do not handle the peroxide/vinegar solution 'After' the soaking as it now has lead in it & will transfer threw your skin and into you .
IF it is all-Stainless construction. It is cool to just let it sit overnight and Soak. For Aluminum I don't trust it more than 6-8 hours @ a time for a soak.
