Not sure if this is the right subforum, but I'm wanting to try the 6.5x47 out and have 2 candidates for rebarreling to a 16-17" tube with a brake.
This is a Ultra Light Arms in 7mmBR.

Next is a Sako 7-08.

Leaning more toward the Sako just because the pencil barrel on the 7-08 makes a pretty good muzzle flip. The 7-08 is a little much for a short barrel and the 7mmBR is the next step down. The 6.5x47 would be between the two and should be about as efficient as one can get with a 16-17" tube.

For you 6.5 shooters, what would be the best twist for shooting the 123gr lapuas?
