How's the quality for the Ruger M77s now especially their barrels? I grew up shooting a Ruger M77 in 308 and would like to buy a modern day one, possibly the scout. Every since I started competing with the Mausingfield, I've grown accustomed to the Mauser type receivers. I'm not interested in building a complete rifle just yet, especially for hunting only.

Ive had a couple of the more modern ones, seemed to be just fine.
