Maybe somebody can answer this for me. Today I started loading up some 338 Lapua rounds to send to my smith and found something I found a bit strange. When I was loading to an OAL of 3.64 inches my bullets were seating DEEP into the case (well past the drive bands) and I'm slightly compressing the load. While I don't mind compressed loads (in fact I use them most of the time) I find it odd that the starting load data I got from Dave @ LeHigh would be compressed with an OAL just over SAMMI spec. Am I being overly cautious here for am I missing something?

The Load data is as follows:
Round: 338 Lapua Magnum
Brass: Lapua
Bullet: LeHigh 245 Grain solid
Primer: CCI magnum
OAL: 3.64 inches
Powder 92 grains H1000

Also if it matters the rifles specs are as follows:
Action: Lawton 8500 repeater w/seekins DBM
Barrel: 28 inch 338 / lost river bore (chamber cut by lawton)
