Trying to decide on a color for a new stock, please show some of your marble / swirl color patterns.

Thanks, Mike

Re: Lets see some of those McMillan marble colors

They ain't great pictures, but maybe you can tell a little from them. Rem. Classic in 50% Olive, 25% Black, 25% Light Tan. The rifle (LVSF .308) has since been Cerakoted in Graphite Black and the scheme looks really good with the black metal.

Shane,

The Tan/Grey/Black may the best combo I've seen with black metal... Awesome!

Re: Lets see some of those McMillan marble colors

The original "Coyote Bomber" scheme of 50/25/25 Grey/Tan/Black inspired my mix. I just twisted the color ratios a little.

It is fairly easy on the eyes.

Re: Lets see some of those McMillan marble colors

That 80/10/10 Grey/OD/Black is nice too.
what kind of stock is that?

Re: Lets see some of those McMillan marble colors

My newest Pink one hit the house yesterday.

Wife sent a pic,but it was a poor image and I'll have her try again.

Re: Lets see some of those McMillan marble colors

Sorry, I don't know the percentages of either stock.

OD, Black, Brown

Re: Lets see some of those McMillan marble colors

Hate,
I can't wait to see the pink stock. List the colors in it as well will you. I am really contemplating buying a pink one that can go to my daughter.

Re: Lets see some of those McMillan marble colors

WGM, that is sharp. I really like those colors with the stainless.

Re: Lets see some of those McMillan marble colors

the green bolt knob kicks ass w/ that green stock ... sharp looking BR rig you got there ...

Re: Lets see some of those McMillan marble colors

KS,
do you know if the tan in your stock is light tan?

Thanks,

Chris

this is the 243 CM

Re: Lets see some of those McMillan marble colors

Sorry for the dupe, got another thread with the same pic, but what the heck, here goes! Marble with 80% black, 20% OD green. The lighting makes it look a bit tan.

Re: Lets see some of those McMillan marble colors

Look at the post titled Pool Porn from Plano. It's the dessert Mcmillan had on their .50 BMG.

Chris,
Sorry it took so long to get back to ya. Yes, I checked the quote from Terry and it does say "33% light tan".

Thanks for checking Keith. I appreciate it.

Re: Lets see some of those McMillan marble colors

Jed, I'm a little color blind. What is the mix of colors in your stock and what color and type of coating on your metal?

Re: Lets see some of those McMillan marble colors

I should take onther pic of it not in the grass. it is the tan and green stock. I metal is painted it Auto OD Green. PPG is the paintmaker. But I am thinking about duracoating it the next time.

Re: Lets see some of those McMillan marble colors

All great looking rifles.

I really like Mikko Ritala's 80% / 20%.

Re: Lets see some of those McMillan marble colors

Jed, how does the fixed, instead of adjustable, comb fit you? I like the OD color, really nice looking rifle.

Re: Lets see some of those McMillan marble colors

John, how do you like your adjustable comb? Have you had any trouble with the screws stripping or coming loose? I have the saddle style on my A-5 and have had trouble with it doing the above. I like the look of Terry Cross's adj. comb.
Buzzsaw

Re: Lets see some of those McMillan marble colors

Yo Buzzsaw... My stock has the saddle comb like yours (coloured much like John's) and same probs as yours with recoil shaking it lose... I put a flat washer and a lock washer behind the tighting screw (knob) and it fixed the problem

Re: Lets see some of those McMillan marble colors

Anyone do a snow camo type marble pattern? I was thinking 70% white, but am having trouble with my fill colors. I was thinking 15% grey, and then possibly 15% black or 15% tan.

Any suggestions?

Re: Lets see some of those McMillan marble colors

I like it alot. I have a big head so maybe I wont need an adjustable.

Thanks, I glad you like what I did.

Buzzsaw </div></div>

Ive had some issues with the screws loosening. I like the saddle better. And I should send this to Terry and get his mod put on it.

Re: Lets see some of those McMillan marble colors

Thanks Overgunned for the Snow camo recommendation.

Re: Lets see some of those McMillan marble colors

308Whisper, what colors are in that stock? Thanks.

Re: Lets see some of those McMillan marble colors

Light green dark brown.

Re: Lets see some of those McMillan marble colors

Great bag. I have only taken it on one small range trip but it is build like a tank and has a perfect balance for the 20" rifle. A lot of detail improvements over the earlier bags, sorry for the limited info but the crooks are keeping me busy at the moment.
