Best answer. Typically, a SFP scope is set to be correct at the highest magnification. If not, I have seen scopes with a mark on the magnification dial to show the correct zoom..

take it to the range and set up markings on paper or a yard stick
1 mil = 3.6" at 100 yards
10 mils = 36" at 100 yards.
test on your scopes variable settings and find out; but as said above, it is normally on the highest setting.

Map your own reticle because even if Leupold says one thing, your scope's magnification adjustment might say another. Wouldn't be the first time a scope was a touch off.

it should have a mark on the power ring next to whatever number the reticule "works" at. i think mine was 12 for 4.5-14
