I've tried to find a option for front lens covers. The leupold mark 4's caps don't fit, Ive see that butlers will work, but they are crap.

anyone have any ideas? Are the vortex covers worth the money? I really was hoping that the mark 4's would work, or the brex style cap, but no luck.

The vortex caps are excellent. $20 or less shipped from amazon.

The only issue I have with the vortex scope caps is that they can seal sufficiently tightly that the caps pull from the optic before the cap opens. Judicious use of a wood chisel around the mating surface of the cap can alleviate the issue.
