I'm looking for a new spotting scope and have found 2 that really interest me.
I'm looking at the Leupold Golden Ring 15-30x50 and the Nikon Prostaff 5 16-48x60. Both are within my price range though the Nikon is about $75 more.
It will mostly be used on the range from 100 to 500 yards and occasionally for a trip out West for big game hunting. I have a 20-60x60 spotting scope now, but I rarely use it above 40x and want something smaller to fit in a backpack.
Anybody have experience with one or both and care to offer your opinons?
