Ok one of you guys up to date on scope internals:

I have a 6.5x20 MK4 MD that I have had for a few years. Today I was shooting on paper, looking at load developement for a 284, and it appears that when the elev moves,so does the Windage.

Down elev = impact down and right
Up Elev= impact up and left.

Does this sound possible?

Re: Leupold issue

It could also do this if it was at the extreme ends of it's adjustment on either windage or elevation. How far from optical center ar you running it? Do you have at least 1 turn left in all directions? Double check all your mounts (be sure they are not overtightened) and try another scope or put this one on a known shooter. If your rear ring is overtightened or out of round and is distorting the tube slightly it can bind the erector pivot and cause all sorts of sighting, tracking and grouping issues. This is my guess and it usually about 99% of why people have "bad" Leupolds. I only tighten mine to 12 inch pounds. 15 inch pounds if going on a 6 pound ultra mag mountain gun.

Pretty rare for a Leupold to just die without some sort of extreme trauma.
