Rifle Scopes leupold mark 4 m1 16x - upgrade from Millet 4x16

I bought the Millet to put on my SPS tactical .308 with and AICS 2.0 stock...I am shooting targets with my Millet scope at 500 yards with ease but our range is going up to 1000 yards soon...

So is it worth 900$ to upgrade my scope to a leupold mark 4 m1 16x riflescope...?

Will I see a clarity difference...? will the Leupold be more solid and accurate that the millet lets say when dragged or treated rough...?
