Rifle Scopes Leupold Mark 4 Questions

Help me to understand. The price difference between the Leupold Mark 4 fixed power 10x and the Mark 4 variable 3.5 to 10x is about $350 with the fixed power scope costing more. Shouldn't the variable cost more? I want to go with a 10x scope and am curious what more you are getting for the extra $350. Thanks.

The 10x is a real mk4 not a rebaged vari x 3.The tube is thicker the whole scope is considerably more robust.Look around you can find deals on 10x mk4s I think there is an m3 for around $850 in the sale section.
