I just changed scopes on my .308 from a mark 4 6.5-20 to the 8.5-25x50 er/t and my eye releif on the more powerful scope is TERRIBLE! It is a pretty big difference. Is this typical?

Hummm. They should be around 3.6in each. I have used both and I do not recall having an issue with the 25x.

The eye relief changes depending on the level of magnification in my ER/T 6.5-20x50. It's a little bit closer set on full power, but nowhere near like ACOG close.
