what is the default factory position on the M1 turrets ? all the way down or do you still see some of the horizontal lines on the elevation turret ? do you zero it starting from all the way down or half way ? thanks.

reason I asked is I got to shoot a rifle that was zeroed half way on the elevation turret

There is no default position.

You zero it where it needs to be zeroed.

I have three of them, two on .308s, and one on a .223. The number of hash marks showing on them at zero ranges from 2 to 4.
