I am considering the Leupold Mark AR MOD 1 4-12x40mm P5 Dial with Adjustable Objective and Mil Dot Reticle for a CZ 452. It has the features I am looking for: Mildot and mil turrets, adjustable objective (although I would prefer side option), and magnification range. Since it is going on a rimfire, I also like that it has a one inch tube. My main concern is durability (I'm not gentle), but since it is aimed at AR shooters, I figure it will be strong enough.

Unfortunately, I am ordering it online, so I cannot handle it. Even more unfortunate is that my area does not have a wide variety of scopes in the stores. Other than hoping someone shows up at the range with a scope I'm interested in, I'm mostly out of luck. It sells for roughly six hundred in Canada.

So does anyone have comments on this scope?

I have been using one on a .223 and like it. Just wish I had gone with something with a bit more magnification. I have my eye on a cz 17hmr so maybe I would move mk ar to the CZ and get something else for the .223.

I like the glass and function of mk ar so I would really recommend it. Have you checked the optics sale section here? Sometimes those come up for really fair prices.

I have one on a 5.56 AR, everything is fine except I wish Leupold would have used a "finer" thickness on the reticle. While it's good for the AR, it might be a little thick for precision shots on a .22 @ 50-75 yds. Just my opinion.... The original Mark AR 1.25-4 with the duplex could be a little better in your application.
