Leupold M4 & Ultra M3 10X40 serial# & dial direction:
Leupold changed the direction that their dials turned.


Many may already know this information as I had but I was going to buy a MK4 M3 in the FS section the other day and it took me a while to locate this information so here it is (FYI, it was written in 2002):

It looks like all Scopes made from the "G" suffix 1999 on elevate counter clockwise if sitting behind the gun. While older scopes like mine with "F" and prior suffix elevate clockwise.

older up to "F" suffix dials: ...1...2...3...4...5..6...7...8...9..10

newer "G" plus suffix 1999 and on dials: 10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1...
