In looking through both, the Vortex is more clear. The reticle for me works better. The Warranty is second to none. If I have a problem or they have a issue I am talking with real people who play the same game as we do and they are honest and good people to deal with. All things mechanical will break (given time and or use) the question is how do they deal with that problem. There are several people who work for Vortex who are active here on the "Hide"......

They are listening and moving the ball forward.

I have a set with the TMR reticle (it's only in the left eye side).

You can't hold a set of binoculars steady enough to spot with, unless they are screwed to a tripod, and even then, the very wide field of view (and only 10X) compared to a rifle scope, makes the reticle seem very small in the view.

You need a spotting scope, if you want to call shots.

Binoc's would be fine for artillery spotting, and that's what they are made for.

I like the military issued M24, nice and small and the reticle is pretty easy to range with. You can find variants w/reticle for under $300. The reticle is in the right eye in these as well, seems odd that lupy would put it in the left.
