I'm thiking about buying a VX-7 3.5-14X50 for hunting (Boone & Crockett reticle) . I see that these scopes are discontinued. Is there any negatives to buying this scope (problems). They are discounted and fit the power range i'm looking for.
They were designed to be American made competition for high dollar Euro hunting scopes (Swarovski, Kahles, Zeiss Diavari, etc.) but never really grabbed the numbers. Think they are figuring the VX-6 will grab people better and work as the new premium line. People go after zoom range in scopes like they go after megapixels for cameras.
If there hasn't been any problems with these scopes and the optics are as good as people say, I'm gonna pick one up for my hunting rifle at a good discount.
