Rifle Scopes leupold

I understand that there are forgeries of these. How does one insure that he is getting a genuine Leupold?

Get the serial# and call Leupold. I verified many scopes that way.

Yep, also keep in mind most forgeries say "Leupold" in too many places and are also marked "Mark 4" somewhere.Real article doesn't...

there is a section on the Leupold web site that has the info about the fake scopes..... from what i read it was only a issue with the Mark 4's and like stated before me one of the issue was it was marked MARK 4 and i believe it was under the turret housing.
