Has anyone had a chance to get their hands on Leupolds lates rangefinder the RX series.
It appears they have made some changes to the series, the write up I read says they have enhanced the signal processing and made the menus simpler to use.

I don't have access to them here yet but I would like to hear a review from the Hide before I commit to one!

thanks

Re: leupold's latest

I have no experience with any Leupy LRF's. Their earlier models apparently left a little to be desired. I wish they would come out with a good, moderately priced unit. Leupy has a good reputation with a lot of shooters who dont necessarily spend a lot of time researching gear. They just buy it, based on the name.

Re: leupold's latest

I have a feeling the Bushnell Elite 1500 will outperform the Leupold, hell my friends Leica 1200 cant even keep up with my 1500. They can be had for about $350ish on egay.

Re: leupold's latest

I made the mistake of buying an RXIV based on their Rep. and a local gun dealer I trusted(who later apologized),It was their top of line and could do anything but give you a correct/any range much beyond 500yds,made in CHINA no less,I got rid of it and lost $180,I made a Bowhunters day.I talked to a tech at Leupold and he said;"There's not much good I can say about them",pretty bad coming from a tech.I bought a 1200CRF Leica and am very happy with it,and yes,I've tried the Bushnell 1500,and the Swarovski, the 1500 is better than I thought it would be.I'll be selling my Leica in the near future and getting the Swarovski which is a bit bulkier. The RX series is total crap in my book,If I was on a budget,I'd buy the Bushnell 1500 in a second
