It's not tactical in any way. Ive recently acquired a beautiful Winchester 1894 in .45 Colt. Its a beautiful gun but the trigger pull is a real bitch. I dont have a gauge but Im sure its greater than 10#. Anyone know of a smith that can do a trigger job on this rifle. Thanks

What model ? Depending on that, look into replacement trigger / springs etc for DIY. Look up a company called Midwest Gun works

I'd start with taking it apart, cleaning it well, lubing it with some synthetic gun oil (not grease) and see how it is then.
You didn't state the model, but most have a removable side plate....bet it's full of shit.

The King's gate was tactical. Easy fast reloads, can be reloaded with out unshouldering the gun.

Or when your down prone in a shallow buffalo wallow and the apaches are sneaking up you can reload without exposing much of yourself...
